The NHL has canceled its planned 2026 Olympic send-off event at UBS Arena and will instead host a traditional All-Star Weekend there in February 2027. The decision was made because, after the success of the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament, the league reconsidered holding a traditional All-Star event right before the Olympics. Instead, NHL players will go directly from their regular season to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.
